Job Overview
Main Purpose of the Role:
To maintain a presence in the building to protect employees, customers and the building from crime and intruders. To react to emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible to: The Security Supervisor
- Promoting at all times a professional and helpful manner; follow the companies values
- Carry out patrols for Security, safety, fire and badge checks
- Be conversant with current fire drills and evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency
- Complete a range of duty logs accurately and in detail
- Be vigilant at all times to identify potential threats
- Report writing for any incidents and MI’s
Communication and working relationships:
- Develop good working relationships with all people in the building to assist in identifying any security issues
- Maintain regular contact with all parties necessary to deal effectively with any issues that may arise
- Represent the Supervisor at the daily ‘Buzz Meeting’ in the event of their absence
Problem solving:
- Managing difficult customers with tact and diplomacy
- Recognising suspicious packages and knowing the correct procedure to deal with them
- Knowing when to call the police
Change and time frame:
- Attending training as required
Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge:
- A good general education
- Good written and spoken English
- Knowledge of the building layout, Operational procedures and processes
- Current SIA Licence either ‘Security or ‘Door Supervisor’

Pay Rate: £8.75/hour
