One of the largest housing associations in the UK is recruiting for a Housing Scheme Officer to deliver effective management of housing services and support for older adults within later living schemes across Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells

The Service
This Housing Scheme Officer post will be cover a patch of three Later Living Schemes in Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells, which are home to approximately 70 residents in total.

The Role
The focus of this Housing Scheme Officer role is to provide an intensive housing management service, within a supported housing setting, taking the lead on responding to resident queries and managing any reported cases of ASB, damage to property, breach of lease/ tenancy
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
Housing Management: Conducts monthly property inspections of communal areas, reporting repairs and risks with detailed notes and photographs; coordinates viewings, pre-tenancy assessments, sign-ups, and customer induction meetings; oversees security measures and addresses tenancy-related queries and disputes.
Customer Relations: Undertakes regular customer wellbeing calls and visits, making referrals for care needs assessments and safeguarding; serves as the point of contact for customers regarding communal services, administers guest room bookings, and leads customer engagement, social events, and wellbeing activities.
Compliance: Conducts health and safety and fire safety compliance tests and inspections, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures; manages estate inspections, facilitates contractor access, and monitors orders to maintain high standards in building facilities and grounds.
Financial Management: Leads financial management of schemes, reviewing service charge estimates and statements; manages building furnishings, develops an asset schedule, and oversees budgeting for furnishing renewals in flats and communal areas.

The Candidate
To be considered for this Housing Scheme Officer role you will require experience of housing management and maintain an approachable demeanour.
As the role covers a patch of properties, a driving license and access to a vehicle will be beneficial to your application
Due to the nature of clients you will be working with in this role, you will require an enhanced DBS.

The Package
This is Housing Scheme Officer vacancy works 28 hours per week between the hours of 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.
The contract is for an initial 3 month period, but does have potential to be extended or made permanent, as it is covering the recruitment process for a permanent member of staff.
